Wer macht Stadt und mit welchen Kulturen und Praktiken? Wie formuliert sich ein Recht auf Stadt ohne Rechthaberei? Berlin ist seit Langem geprägt von eigensinnig initiierten Bauten, von selbstorganisierten Räumen und einer reichen sozialen Kultur. Das Recht auf Stadt wird von vielen mit Mitteln der Künste, Gestaltung, Planung und Aktion erstritten und gemacht.
Was kann diese Toolbox?

Ziel des vorliegenden Glossars ist es, über die Vielstimmigkeit der Akteur*innen der Urbanen Praxis das Verständnis von „Urbaner Praxis“ zu schärfen und dadurch zentrale Kriterien und Qualitäten der Urbanen Praxis herauszuarbeiten. Die Autor*innen stellen die für sie wichtigsten Begriffe der Urbanen Praxis zur Verfügung oder setzen sich kritisch mit zirkulierenden Termini auseinander. Diese werden gemeinsam mit hinzukommenden Begriffen und einem Schattenindex online gestellt. Zusammen bilden die Beiträge nicht nur ein Vokabular über die aktuelle Urbanität und den Bedarf an städtischem und künstlerischem Handeln, sondern auch einen Diskurs über Urbane Praxis als solche

What can this toolbox do?

The aim of this glossary is to sharpen the understanding of “urban practice” through the polyphony of actors in urban practice and thus to work out central criteria and qualities of urban practice. The authors provide the most important concepts of urban practice for them or critically examine circulating terms. These are put online together with additional terms and a shadow index. Together, the contributions form not only a vocabulary on current urbanity and the need for urban and artistic action, but also a discourse on urban practice as such
