OASE. 25 Years of Critical Reflection on Architecture
Exhibition and Presentation with Eduard Führ, Tom Avermaete and Christophe Grafe
OASE, the Dutch Journal for Architecture is celebrating its 25th anniversary. During this time, OASE has evolved into an international professional journal in which a reflective and critical approach to architecture, urban design and landscape architecture is the mainstay. This jubilee is being marked by a special edition of the journal.
OASE No 75 is a compilation of the most important essays and background articles published in OASE over the last 25 years in a double-thick English-language edition, making a great many key texts accessible to an international readership for the first time. This anthology affords an overview of the themes that have dominated architectural discourse over recent decades. The themes are set in a broader context by introductory texts and reflections that have been specially written for this issue by prominent architecture historians.
At the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the magazine, OASE seizes the opportunity to reflect upon the changing role and the future of journals for architecture.
Speakers are: Eduard Führ (Editor-in-Chief of Wolkenkuckucksheim. International Journal of Architecture Theory), Tom Avermaete and Christophe Grafe (Editors of OASE. Journal for Architecture.)
A travelling exhibition accompanies OASE 75. At Pro qm it presents the four periods of OASE’s history and introduces the public to the specificities of this “magazine of neither”.
