GCC is an acronym that does not stand for but alludes to the Gulf Cooperation Council, the intergovernmental political and economic partnership that connects six countries in the region. The artist “delegation” or collective GCC was formed in 2013. Its eight members, all of whom have close ties to the Arabian Gulf, are scattered across the globe. Internal Affairs is a collection of selected images and conversations from GCC’s five-year WhatsApp archive.

the forms and roles of publishing as and within artists’ practices. Each
issue initiates a dialogue with artist or artist group, through which a
body of work is introduced. The series hosts conversations with artists
who work at the intersection of publishing and exhibition-making:
through circulation, dissemination, spamming, dispersion, print, data,
language, myth, parasitizing and infiltration.
