Baumer Specimen (Typeface)
This edition is dedicated to the latest expansion of the Baumer typeface family, designed by Erkin Karamemet together with Gregor Maria Sahl. Developed for this release, the Baumer Type Specimen presents the typeface family as the visual identity of a fictional company called Baumer Group. Through its sub-brand Grotesk, the specimen unfolds into a comprehensive corporate universe—a hybrid between a brand manual and a technical guide, filled with applied examples, typographic details, and fictional use cases. Combined with AI-generated imagery, the project creates the impression of a fully developed and tangible corporate environment.
About the Type Specimen:
The Baumer Type Specimen is offset printed in Germany with spot colours on various papers in A4 format and saddle-stitched. Across 36 pages, it presents the Baumer Headline, Baumer Uniwidth, and Baumer Mono type families.
